Dallas medical technology to help injured Ukrainian soldiers

Dallas-based MedCAD is donating advanced facial implants and surgical support to assist severely injured Ukrainian soldiers. A medical team from LEAP Global Missions, led by oculoplastic surgeon Dr. Jorge Corona, will take these implants to Ukraine, where they will be used in reconstructive surgeries for soldiers disfigured by the ongoing war with Russia. McKinney grad looks forward to future with reconstructed skull implant

A devastating car accident in March 2024 left recent McKinney North High School graduate Trevor Dutton with a life-threatening head injury and significant challenges on his road to recovery. To save his life, surgeons removed a large portion of his skull to relieve brain swelling, leaving him reliant on a protective helmet as he underwent months of rehabilitation. Despite his determination, Trevor’s progress was limited until MedCAD, a Dallas-based medical device company, played a pivotal role in his journey. Read More

Doctors replace part of McKinney teen’s skull after crash that nearly killed him

Trevor Dutton, A recent McKinney North High School grad who nearly died in a car crash sits down with MedCAD – the people who made his skull implant. The new technology has allowed him to return to a normal life. “Neurosurgeons in Alabama saved his life by removing a portion of his skull, allowing the brain to swell and then heal,” said Dr. Shaad Bidwala, a neurosurgeon at Baylor Scott and White in Dallas.
